AMS physicians will conduct patient-specific case reviews or Independent Medical Reviews to provide an independent opinion regarding utilization issues, disclosure concerns, and underwriting assistance. Our physicians are also available for additional consultation on cases for medical opinions and overall medical consulting, as well as cost containment training seminars.
These concise opinions allow the client to accurately set cost projections through effective underwriting, stop loss underwriting and analysis of hospital bills. Our services also allow our clients to gain an understanding of the patients' medical care plan and recognize cases that require further medical review or Independent Medical Reviews.
Once our independent medical reviews or analysis of the claim is completed, our clients receive a review that is explained in detail. The final opinion or decision can be evidence based, criteria based or a simple medical opinion that is determined by the client's requirements.
